I live in Chilliwack B.C and I love to swim and freedive in my local lakes and rivers to find what has been lost and clean up what I can. I have been able to return things to the owners who had never though they would see their item again which is an awesome feeling!

ROV Treasure Hunting and a Scuba Cleanup!

Started off the morning scouting for some treasures and then decided on doing a larger cleanup with the scuba gear on. For anyone who actually reads the description and has noticed the video quality in my last couple videos being a bit shaky, I'm working on it! I have started using my new Insta 360 ace pro, and have been filming at 4k 120fps, and my computer just cant take it! So I've had to render it down before editing and then export it again making to footage a bit grainy. So I've lowered my MP to 2.7k and 60fps because I probably don't need much more than that anyways. anyway look forward to a few more grainy video because they are already filmed haha!

I was asked to find a necklace that was lost in roughly 25 feet of water and as it turns out that is just too deep for the average person to dive. I happened to be close by but I didn't have any great with me other than my dive mask. Unfortunately the GoPro didn't record when I got the necklace but I was able to grab it on my first dive down! @WatermanSurin 🎥 #lost #necklace #gold #value #diving

Drew from @DivingSports came out for a fun adventure to see how much treasure we could get down at 120 feet deep! unfortunately my ROV sucked up some string and clogged the propellers pretty badly to the point that I had to replace a motor. We have got over 50 phones, 1 GoPro, over 250 sunglasses and other rings, necklaces etc. One iPhone was there for a month and it worked and triggered the owner in Surrey

Have you triid putting rocks in the claw when you're sending it down so it sinks without needing propulsion?
That's not a bad idea, but it doesn't take all too long to go down. May increase battery life a bit though

Has anyone dived in the middle of the lake ? What about that urasian malfoy lake weed ? Does that grow in groves ??
I've never been in the middle it's a bit too deep for me. and the milfoil grows all over in the shallows between roughly 10-20 feet deep

@@joshroberts2834 that's probably roughly right, I only know that lake in feet and according to my maps I've seen it's about 135 at the deepest. And that's out in front of maple bay. And thank you!

Def be careful of diet beverages that haven't been temperature regulated, Specifically aspertame, but they can get toxic when they get above 86F (30C) the sweetener breaks down. (I know the water prob never got that warm but just wanted to mention it.)
For sure something to be cautious of! Here it probably never gets above 15c or so. But still don't want to swallow it haha!
